The August e-consult workgroup roundtable featured examples of the use of e-consult to address COVID-19, supporting providers in meeting regulatory requirements. In addition, we heard perspectives from our clinical advisors.

During the August CVEC Roundtable, Dr. Marwan Haddad reviewed two de-identified COVID-related e-consults submitted by California providers and addressed by ConferMED specialists. Dr. Haddad is the Medical Director of the Center for Key Populations at Community Health Center Inc, CT, and a COVID expert.

July’s roundtable highlight best practices from the clinics that kicked off the coalition: Camarena Health, Clinica Sierra Vista, Family HealthCare Network, Omni Family Health, United Health Centers, and Valley Health Team.

In response to the current pain management access challenges faced in the Central Valley, June’s Roundtable featured a presentation by Bennet Davis, MD on e-consult for pain management. Dr. Bennet reviewed e-consult cases and e-consult steps for managing patients with chronic pain.
